.exodus, part I

.thus, the judgement day finally came. Trip back home was planned for today (at least it's first part, Saarbrucken - Prague, 670km). After some boring lectures and quite enjoyable lunch at mensa we boarded Clio and left campus.
Luckily, the weather is still very unusual and pleasant, roads were dry and relatively empty. I have to confess, I've feared a bit that some unexpected mechanical car problems will appear... But nothing like this happened and at 2100 CET we arrived into well known Prague :).
The only things worth to mention were many kilometres of roadworks in Germany (and incapability of German drivers to drive fast through narrowed road sections), quite amusing affection of Czech truck drivers to by-pass slower trucks with the same or lower speed (so the highway is blocked and slowed for 5 minutes...) and 'funny' customs officer on German-Czech borders. Our appearance was probably quite suspicious because we had to stop the engine, get out of the car, show every gadget from our pockets, etc. He was looking for drugs and other stuff... This is the first time something like this happened to me.

Nevertheless, Prague, be aware that we're back! :)
